MOM HACKS

Here's a few simple ideas to keep your busy day going as a momma!

Anyone else's towel closet out there just stink?!  Like musty, moldy, mildew?  That stench that doesn't seem to want to leave the towel even after washing?  Here's a simple, INEXPENSIVE solution.  Purchase a small tension rod (mine cost less than $5) and place it in the closet above the basket.  Instead of throwing your wet towels into the pile, hang them over the rod to air dry until wash time.  No more smelly, stinky towels!

I love that they make aprons for children-so cute and convenient!  However, most of the time they are never small enough for your littlest of helpers.  Here's a fool proof way to make sure that apron fits perfectly so they are ready to start dumping that flour or get those hands on that paint brush!  Just follow these simple steps.

It's so important to keep those littles hydrated, but anyone else have half empty water cups and water bottles everywhere?!  Well, here's a way you can look at those glasses half full.  Dump those unfinished water cups into your plants! The water doesn't go to waste AND you remember to water your plants.  Win, Win!

*If anyone has candida overgrowth or thrush- don't do this, it may cause it to grow in your plants.

GET YOUR WATER IN!

Sometimes, we are just so exhausted we crawl into bed right?  Our nighttime routine out the window!  And... where do our reading glasses, bobby pins, hair ponies, and jewelry end up?  If you are like me, on your nightstand- only to be scattered as we fumble in the night when a little wakes us.  Problem solved, place a small decorative dish on your nightstand to contain all your little things.  The best part- your chapstick no longer rolls back behind your nightstand in the middle of the night!

Did you know that symptoms of dehydration start at just 2% water loss?  So, how much water do we need?  Take your body weight (in pounds) and divide it in half- that's how many ounces of water per day you should be drinking.  My tip to you- fill a pitcher of water at the beginning of the day with the amount you need to drink.  No more trying to add up ounces each time you drink.  Plus, you have a visual cue reminding you to meet your goal for the day.
