WILLOW HILLS FARM

Our small little farm is located in the countryside on a few rolling hills where sunset light peeks through the wooded tree line to oversee our very large garden.  We gifted a horse to my sister shortly after moving to the property, utilizing a small Amish built barn that was already there.  Little did we know what it would come to house.

A couple years later, a chicken egg allergy sent us on an adventure to acquire a chicken coop- with a few adjustments we converted it to house some egg laying ducks.  Around the same time, I visited a small sheep farm with the kiddos and something sparked my heart.  A few evenings later as I was doing dishes and peering out towards our fields and barn, I jokingly said, "We should get some sheep!"  My husband turned and looked at me like I was crazy, but a small half-hearted conversion ensued.  The next thing I know my hubby is taking the kids and myself to go pick up our first three sheep!  Less than six months later we were on our way to pick up two more ewes, two yearlings and two baby lambs.  My tummy was all sorts of nervous excited.  I truly wondered if making such a big endeavor was a mistake.  But, it was in that moment that God assured me this was part of our future.
